Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Welcome to Ìtàn. This Privacy Policy applies to anyone using the weareitan.com website, any creators or operators onboarded to Ìtàn's roster, and any brands or other partners who work with us. Where we refer to "Ìtàn", "we" or "us" in this Privacy Policy, we mean the relevant Ìtàn entity that is responsible for your personal data, as set out below:
- If you are located in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area ("EEA"), Switzerland, or the rest of the world, Itan Consultancy Ltd (a company registered in England and Wales) is the controller responsible for your personal data.
- If you are located in the United States, Itan LLC (a US company) is the controller responsible for your personal data.
1. The types of personal data we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Contact and enquiry information. When you contact us (for example through the form on this website) we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, links to your work or online profiles, and the contents of your message.
- Onboarding and representation information. If you become a represented creator or operator, we collect information needed to evaluate, onboard, and represent you, such as details about your audience, content, revenue streams, professional history, and independence status.
- Deal and activity information. When we arrange or run deals on your behalf, we keep records of those deals (bookings, deliverables, invoicing, and earnings) to run the representation relationship and confirm what you are owed.
- Brand and partner information. If you represent a brand or other partner, we collect business contact details and information about your brief, budget, and requirements.
- Communications with us. When you contact us by email, phone, or messaging platforms, we may keep a record of those communications.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and form providers may automatically collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
2. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data:
- To respond to your enquiries and evaluate whether Ìtàn is the right fit for you or your brand;
- To perform our contract with you: onboarding you to our roster, arranging and managing deals, and paying you what you have earned;
- For our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, including verification, record-keeping, risk management, and preventing fraud, abuse, or illegal activity;
- To send you information about Ìtàn, such as announcements, opportunities, or updates relevant to the representation relationship. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending marketing communications, and you can opt out at any time;
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us.
3. How we share your personal data
We may share your personal data with:
- Brands and partners. If you are a represented creator or operator, we share relevant information with brands and buyers to arrange and deliver deals on your behalf. If you are a brand, we share relevant brief information with the talent we propose to you.
- Service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf, including form and email providers, web hosting, accounting, legal, and payment services.
- Law enforcement, courts, or regulators where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect the vital interests of any person, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Purchasers and third parties in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, sale of assets or shares, reorganisation, financing, change of control, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Ìtàn works with creators, operators, and brands globally. The personal data we collect may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the UK where we or our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or the European Economic Area, we ensure the transfer is made to countries recognised as offering an adequate level of protection, or under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep your information
We retain personal data only where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so, for example for the duration of a representation relationship and any period afterwards required for accounting, tax, or legal purposes. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your personal data, we will delete or anonymise it, or, where that is not possible (for example, because it is held in backup archives), securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
6. Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law (and, where applicable, EU law), you have rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Ask us to delete your personal data;
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your personal data;
- Request portability of your personal data;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EEA.
7. Security of your personal data
We take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, and we review and improve these measures over time.
8. Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to legal, technical, or business developments. When we make material changes, we will take appropriate steps to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when this Policy was most recently revised.
